Consultancy Opportunities

Occasional/Regular Consultancy Work with AWEMA

AWEMA is being invited to undertake consultancy work that has led to preparing research reports, good practice guides and various directories.

This work does not demand employing a full-time member of staff, but the use of consultants for project-specific work. Thus, AWEMA has decided to hold a register of consultants which will be updated regularly.

Set below are the core competencies that are expected of all our consultants:

1. Research-based knowledge and understanding of the equality strands, with a particular focus on race.
2. Previous experience of report writing for publication
3. Experience of research, both desk and interview formats
4. Experience of designing training materials, and delivering the training
5. Experience of providing consultancy, particularly to the voluntary and public sectors
6. Evidence of working independently and in a timely manner.
7. Evidence of the ability to make presentations to policy makers.
8. Evidence of producing policy papers from research reports.
